Job DescriptionAre you a meticulous and organized individual with a background in billing and a keen understanding of the non-profit industry? LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients in Oakland, California, that is looking for a Billing Specialist to work in-office 100% of the time. This role will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. The role will be responsible for managing billing activities, generating invoices, and maintaining billing records. The role will contribute to the company's financial success by ensuring that the billing processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with company and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and review invoices based on project contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other relevant departments to gather necessary billing information and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare billing documentation, including backup for billed amounts and any necessary adjustments.
- Monitor project timelines and billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing.
- Track and reconcile accounts receivable to ensure proper cash flow management.
- Communicate with clients to address billing inquiries and resolve any billing-related issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of billing process improvements.
- Maintain organized and accurate billing records for auditing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in billing, preferably within the non-profit industry or professional services or legal industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and project billing processes.
- Proficiency in using billing software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
- Familiarity with relevant billing and best practices in the field of professional services.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $33.00 per hour
