What you will be doing
- Lead civil litigation matters from inception through verdict
- Serve as first chair in jury and bench trials involving public entities
- Develop trial strategy, prepare witnesses, and conduct examinations
- Handle discovery, depositions, and complex motion practice
- Draft persuasive briefs, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Argue motions, including Motions in Limine, and manage jury selection
- Advise and regularly communicate with government clients
- Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Stay current on changes in California law impacting public entities

Compensation and benefits
- Salary range: $200,000 to $225,000, depending on background
- Annual billable hours bonus program
- 1,800 annual billable hours target
