We are seeking General Counsel to assist in our daily operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to review legal and business issues and communicate only the important aspects in a clear and concise manner to our top executive. In addition, you will be asked to learn the internal operations of every department in the company and assist when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Represent company in court or before government agencies
- Prepare, draft, and review legal documents on behalf of the company
- Advise the company's executive on business and legal transactions
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Perform administrative and management functions
Education and/or Experience:
- Membership in California State Bar
- Juris Doctor from nationally accredited law school.
- Previous experience in law, preferably with indirect auto retail installment contract.
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
