Job Summary:

The Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Plant Engineer. As coordinator, your duties and responsibilities are to help to ensure the reliable operation of our plant operations. This will be done by developing and managing the Preventive Maintenance Program via utilization of M+ our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), coordinating flow and assignment of work requests, by maintaining a stock of spare parts, and coordinating activities involving outside resources, and maintaining all related documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Schedule maintenance activity using CMMS (Maintenance +).
  • Assist with solving and correcting maintenance related production issues.
  • Assist EMM with monitoring and processing the CAPEX project process in Oracle.
  • Develop/refine and implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems for all facility equipment.
  • Develop measurements for tracking the success and timeliness of maintenance activities such as PM work order completion rates, Planned/Scheduled work order completion rates, etc.
  • Maintain effective and efficient stock levels of maintenance parts in support of production and repair schedule.

  • Communicate PM work order schedules to maintenance team.
  • Ensures that costs are minimized while providing the highest service level in support of operations.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors for stock parts as well as individual part/component requests from the maintenance staff.
  • Utilize CMMS M+ for all inventory transactions, Work Order parts, purchase orders and receiving.

  • Maintain parts inventory within CMMS-M+. Performs cycle counts.
  • Receive parts, performs stocking duties, and ships items to either plant’s warehouse and/or manufacturing facilities.
  • Keep the parts room and shop stocked, clean and orderly.
  • Coordinate inspections and recertifications for regulatory bodies relating to plant utility systems.
  • Keep updated records of approved contractors and vendors and coordinates with same for repairs, parts, or services as needed.
  • Provide Plant Engineer daily updates on all critical spare orders
  • Support Maintenance Techs in locating parts, in-house or special order
  • Other duties assigned by the Plant Engineer or other Manager within the company.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance coordination or administration.
  • Vendor management experience (cost effective analysis)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including strong skills in Outlook and Excel?preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Ability to demonstrate safe work habits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to effectively utilize Excel and Manager + CMMS.
  • Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email.?
  • Ability to make and report observations to record equipment inspections.
  • Must have general mechanical knowledge and understanding of electrical and logic principles.
  • Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
  • Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Able to work in a multi shift environment
  • Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities
  • Exposed to cold (40º)/ heat/ humidity
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
