Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available to support K-8 students within a K-12 school setting in Burbank, CA. This contract position spans the full school year, providing specialized services focused on language development for students with mild to moderate needs, including support for high-functioning autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students primarily with mild to moderate challenges.
- Support students with language impairments and high-functioning autism, excluding those with severe needs.
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, coordinators, and directors to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and participate in team meetings.
- Provide consultative support to teachers and families as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school settings, preferably K-8.
- Skillset focused on language disorders and mild to moderate developmental challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Burbank, California
Hours: Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
