Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for healthcare professionals skilled in cardiac catheterization and neuro electrophysiology technologies. This contract position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, offering a dynamic work environment focused on advanced cardiac and neurological interventions within a high-acuity setting.
Location:Situated near San Jose, the hospitals Cath Lab unit features 4 catheterization rooms equipped with GE and Philips technology and utilizes MacLab and Meditech EMRs to support patient care. The department is staffed with approximately 20 registered nurses and respiratory therapists, providing comprehensive cardiac and neuro interventional procedures including cardiac catheterization, peripheral procedures, atrial fibrillation/flutter management, stroke interventions, and various complex electrophysiology studies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures with attention to patient safety and protocol accuracy
- Collaborate closely with RN and RT team members to maintain appropriate patient ratios and deliver high-quality care
- Participate in on-call rotations as required, primarily covering night shifts on a rotation basis
- Adhere strictly to unit policies and dress code; scrubs are provided
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN license with valid ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications (mandatory)
- Experience in neuro and electrophysiology procedures preferred
- Strong teamwork skills to support a collaborative care model within the Cath Lab unit
Schedule:
- Day shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- On-call: night shift coverage as needed by rotation
