Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate and maintain our advanced CNC machines, including TRAK VMC, MILLS, and SIEMENS systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with a keen eye for precision and quality control. Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, including TRAK VMC, MILLS, and SIEMENS systems, to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine machining requirements
- Program, set up, and optimize CNC machines for various manufacturing processes
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Collaborate with engineers and production team members to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies in the production process
- Train and mentor junior machinists and apprentices as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest innovative solutions to enhance productivity
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with demonstrated proficiency in TRAK VMC, MILLS, and SIEMENS systems
- Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software
- Excellent understanding of metalworking processes, cutting tools, and materials
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
