Job DescriptionParalegal Paralegal - Estate Planning

Position Overview
The Paralegal - Estate Planning will support attorneys in managing a variety of estate planning matters, including the preparation of legal documents, client communication, and case management. This role is vital in ensuring that estates are administered efficiently and in accordance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
  • Organize and maintain case files and documentation in a systematic manner.
  • Prepare and file probate documents with the court as necessary.
  • Assist with the administration of estates, including accounting and reporting on assets.
  • Review and summarize legal documents and correspondence.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
  • Certification from a recognized paralegal organization is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in estate planning or probate.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning and probate laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research and document preparation software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
