Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Access Control & Security Technician who can hit the ground running. You’ll be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining access control systems, alarms, and related security infrastructure. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on job sites.
Responsibilities

Install, program, and troubleshoot access control systems, electronic locks, strikes, and maglocks

Configure and service alarm systems, door controllers, and power supplies

Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, RS-485, etc.)

Perform routine maintenance including adjusting hardware, testing sensors, and verifying door functions

Read and interpret plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Work with project managers to complete jobs on schedule and within spec

Maintain compliance with BSIS, OSHA, and DIR prevailing wage requirements where applicable
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in access control, alarms, or low-voltage security systems

Strong knowledge of hardware (strikes, maglocks, readers, REX devices, door contacts)

Comfortable with Verkada, Avigilon, Lenel, HID, or similar systems

Ability to troubleshoot independently in the field

Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation

BSIS permits/licensing preferred (not required if under company license)
