CelLink is seeking a Temporary Mechanical Technician to support the disassembly, relocation, and reassembly of production equipment during a planned facility move. This role will focus on safely tearing down and rebuilding mechanical systems, inspecting equipment condition, and supporting post-move testing and validation to ensure equipment is operational and production-ready. The assignment is temporary, running from February 2 through April 10, and is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments who can contribute immediately with minimal ramp time.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble production equipment and machinery for relocation
- Reassemble mechanical systems, ensuring proper alignment, torque, and fit per specifications
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, manuals, and work instructions
- Inspect components for wear, damage, or defects and document findings
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively
- Support equipment testing and validation after reassembly to ensure proper operation
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), safety, and quality procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
- Document work performed, parts used, and issues identified
- Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and production teams to meet schedules and objectives
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanical technician, maintenance technician, or similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment
- Experience with equipment teardown and rebuild in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and kneeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Technology or related field
- Experience working with automated or semi-automated production equipment
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or basic electrical systems
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments
