ABOUT THIS ROLE
GU Energy Labs is a family-owned market-leading global sports nutrition brand, and we are looking for a Batch Mix Operator to join our team!
SUMMARY OF ROLE
At GU Energy Labs, the Batch Mix Operator plays a crucial role in our production process. This position involves overseeing the preparation of multiple batches each day to meet production demands. Each batch must be created with strict adherence to our batch records and quality standards. The role requires the ability to lift and stack multiple 50-pound bags per shift, transporting them into the production area. Following the batch record, the Batch Mix Operator blends ingredients, takes product samples, and conducts tests before releasing the batch for further production. Maintaining a high level of sanitation is essential, and operators must be comfortable working in a semi-wet environment, using hot water for cleaning between batches. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the batch-making process and the importance of following precise recipes.
Swing shift hours are 12:30PM to 10PM. Some weekend and overtime work required.
You are excited about this opportunity because you will:
- Determine required raw materials and deliver to Production areas as needed.
- Inspect raw materials and products to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Operate scales to weigh or measure ingredients with high level of accuracy.
- Mix/blend raw materials with strict adherence to specific details of process and formula.
- Operate production machines, including batching water, controlling the flow of product, regulating mixing speeds and/or temperatures, and performing CIP (Clean-In-Place) protocols.
- Test product to ensure adherence to required standards.
- Accurately complete Batch Records and Quality checks using the Redzone Application.
- Clean production equipment and work areas.
- Ensure daily duties are completed, productivity targets are met, and overall standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and security are maintained.
- Cross-train in various Production or Warehouse duties.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
We are excited about you because you have:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Experience with batch processing, industrial sanitation, mixers/mixing/blending and various laboratory. instruments in food preparation environment is desired.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to read and write in English.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Teamwork is critical. Must be flexible and willing to help where needed.
- Able to follow instructions and receive feedback.
- Must be dependable.
- Positive attitude.
- Forklift certification a plus!
