Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Personal Injury Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception through settlement or trial. You will play a crucial role in maintaining communication with clients, managing case files, and handling various aspects of litigation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing a caseload of personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, premises liability, and other tort claims.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients, providing case updates, answering questions, and relaying information between clients and attorneys.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, and settlement demands. Prepare discovery responses and requests.
  • Investigation: Gather medical records, police reports, photographs, and other essential documentation. Assist in the investigation of claims and factual development of cases.
  • Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits, witness lists, and other materials for trials. Assist attorneys in preparation for depositions and hearings.
  • Settlement Negotiations: Assist in calculating damages, preparing demand packages, and communicating with insurance adjusters during settlement negotiations.
  • Calendaring and Scheduling: Maintain attorney calendars, schedule client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years working as a paralegal in personal injury law.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal case management software, and e-filing procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
