A school-based occupational therapy opportunity is available in Irvine, CA, serving K-12 students for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position supports the educational and developmental needs of students through targeted OT interventions, focused on enhancing their participation and success in the school environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a school setting during the ESY period
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized therapy plans that align with students educational goals
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support
- Documenting therapy sessions and progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Supporting a maternity leave assignment starting in June and extending through at least January 2026
Preferred qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license and credentials appropriate for school-based practice
- Experience working with school-age children, particularly within K-12 settings
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educational teams and families
- Familiarity with ESY program requirements and schedules in school systems
