Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in San Rafael, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a maternity leave opening. This contract position runs from early February through the end of the school year, providing services five days a week with approximately seven hours daily. The caseload includes 56 students, primarily in general education settings (grades TK-5), with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant support available two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in a general education setting, focusing on grades TK-5
- Collaborate with the educational team to support student progress and optimize communication outcomes
- Manage a caseload of approximately 56 students with varying communication needs
- Coordinate with another SLP who serves the Special Day Class (SDC) population within the same school
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility
- California licensure or eligibility for school-based practice
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a school setting
- Ability to work effectively with a supportive team and adapt to a large elementary school environment
- Candidates who are completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will be considered
