ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Repair carpet that does not meet 1st quality requirements, install carpet. Follow instructions given by Supervisor/Lead person on hot orders. Advise supervisor on any non repairable products. Install carpet when needed. Communicate with each other for production requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist the in anything necessary to maintain production levels.
EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with carpet process methods, to include tufting process of various types of carpet and their quality standards.
- Familiar with Bentley Mills, Inc. product codes.
- Communication skills to read, understand and discuss (in English) numerical and alphabetical lot numbers and other product or production information.
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
- Flexible schedules both in work days and starting time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Frequent: Handle, manual dexterity, lift 15-20 lbs., reach, stand, stoop, and walk. Extensive kneeling. Use personal protective equipment..
Occasional: Balance, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, hear, kneel, and speak.
Required: Close vision, color and depth perception.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
General warehouse environment. Background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations. Work near moving mechanical parts.
Please note that if you have been transferred to your shift within the past six months, you will not be eligible to change shifts. However, you may be eligible to be considered for a different job within your department should you meet the above requirements.
