Schedule : Day- 5:00 AM- 1:30 PM, Swing 1:30 PM- 10:00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and follow instructions to perform paint preparation tasks.
Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Notify leadership of malfunctioning or defective parts.
Maintain quality requirements.
Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Practice 6S methodologies consistently.
Prep parts to meet company and customer specifications for the required cosmetic grade after
paint.
Remove paint masking and inspect de-masked parts for paint burrs.
Report any quality issues to the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to operate a single process or machine with minimal assistance.
• Basic understanding of safety and quality best practices, hand tools, materials, and inspection
processes.
• Proficiency in basic math and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of detailed paint process instructions (DPPI) and Epicor comments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in other departments to meet high demand.
• Ability to identify grit ratings and execute basic paint prep practices like scuff sanding and
cleaning for adhesion.
• Proficient in using hand tools, including sanders and grinders.
• Always use required PPE while on the job.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proactively consider safety in all tasks.
