A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Oakland, CA, supporting K-12 students across elementary and middle school settings. This contract role requires working onsite 3 to 4 days per week, primarily focusing on one elementary school and a middle school serving 6th-grade students. The contract duration aligns with the normal school year calendar.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- SLP eligibility or certification for school settings
- Experience working with K-12 students, especially elementary and middle school populations
- Ability to conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary and 6th-grade middle school students
- Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring for speech and language goals
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations
