Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Production Operator to perform a range of duties in a manufacturing environment. This role involves handling chemicals and solvents, swapping gas cylinders, and operating fabrication equipment to produce consumable products. All necessary PPE and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and dispense solvents and mild acids in a safe and controlled environment.
- Change and manage gas cylinders according to proper safety protocols.
- Set up and operate fabrication processes and equipment.
- Follow detailed work instructions for equipment operation and production tasks.
- Perform various process support tasks, including maintaining records and databases.
- Coordinate and facilitate material and information flow across departments.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and inventory control activities.
- Provide backup support for administrative, materials, or procurement teams in other departments.
- Communicate and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Manage and complete multiple tasks requiring planning, organization, and judgment.
- Solve problems of varying scope and complexity within the manufacturing process.
- Identify and implement process improvements within assigned area
- Provide feedback on safety, quality, and operational issues.
- Routinely lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Work overtime as needed to support production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, customer service, or high-throughput environments.
- Basic math, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and standard operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment, academic lab, or equivalent educational background.
- Hands-on experience in a chemistry or biochemical manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Inventory management experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and production needs.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure area throughput.
