We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise data solutions, with a strong focus on Snowflake and Azure ADLS. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data architecture, integration, and governance frameworks, along with the ability to align business needs with scalable and secure data platforms. While Salesforce knowledge (especially Salesforce Industries) and insurance industry experience are not mandatory, they are valuable assets for this role.
This is a remote role with flexible location, but candidates must be able to work in the California (PST) time zone.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture across Snowflake and Azure ADLS
- Define and enforce data management, governance, and quality frameworks aligned with enterprise standards
- Develop and optimize data models, data integration flows, and pipelines for scalability and performance
- Establish and maintain best practices for security, compliance, metadata management, and access controls
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with business and technical goals
- Provide architectural leadership in integration of Salesforce (Industries/Financial Services Cloud) and other enterprise platforms into the data ecosystem
- Drive performance optimization strategies for large-scale data sets and analytics workloads
- Mentor technical teams and provide guidance on data architecture standards, tools, and methodologies
- Support roadmap definition for enterprise data strategy, including cloud adoption, data lakehouse integration, and advanced analytics
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with a proven track record in enterprise-scale projects
- Strong expertise in Snowflake and Azure ADLS
- Solid knowledge of data governance frameworks, master data management, and metadata practices
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration architecture
- Deep understanding of security, compliance, and performance optimization in cloud-based data platforms
- Experience collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders, translating needs into actionable data solutions
- Leadership experience guiding teams and driving enterprise-wide data strategy initiatives
- Salesforce knowledge (Industries/Financial Services Cloud) is a plus
- Insurance industry experience is desirable but not required
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in PST (California) time zone
