Experienced In‐Home Caregiver — 1099 Position
About the Role
1:1 In‐Home Support. Seeking a compassionate, detail‐oriented experienced caregiver to provide one‐on‐one support for a male client (6'3"), in his private home, fall prevention is the main task. The ideal candidate is skilled with Hoyer lift transfers, comfortable with shower assistance, and adept at building rapport with clients who may not ask for care when they need it. Currently client uses a walker, but is declining and will soon need more physical assistance.
Key Responsibilities

Perform safe transfers using a Hoyer lift; repositioning and mobility assistance.

Shower/bathing assistance, toileting, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care as needed.

Meal planning and preparation; hydration and nutrition support; light housekeeping related to care.

Medication reminders and accurate shift notes/documentation.

Companionship: conversation, engagement in preferred activities.

Maintain a clean, safe environment and uphold infection‐control best practices.

Communicate clearly with family/agency regarding changes in condition or concerns.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience with Hoyer lifts and total‐assist transfers for larger/taller adults.

Comfort providing shower assistance and personal care with professionalism and respect.

Patience and emotional intelligence when supporting clients who may not want help; ability to build trust and encourage participation.

Detail‐oriented with strong observational/documentation skills.

Reliability for a fixed 3‐day, 24‐hour schedule (Tue/Fri/Sun).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to/from the client’s home.
Preferred (not required): CNA/HHA certification; CPR/First Aid; experience with behavior supports, cognitive decline, or care resistance.
Physical Demands: Frequent standing/walking; safe lifting/repositioning with mechanical assist; ability to support a 6'3", 190lbs client using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Schedule

Tuesday: 7:00 AM – Wednesday 7:00 AM

Friday: 7:00 AM – Saturday 7:00 AM

Sunday: 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
(Three 24‐hour shifts weekly.)

Previous experiences as a caregiver is required.
