Summary
Under the direction of the Construction Manager, performs a variety of skilled duties including the remodel and repair of buildings, including new construction. Must have the capability to carry out tasks in a variety of crafts including carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, painting and electrical work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares materials necessary for various projects to include assigned installations, repairs and construction (structures, partitions, doors, frames, ceilings, floors and glass).
- Keeps work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
- Has a good working knowledge of the standard practices of minor construction (carpentry, plumbing, drywall, masonry and electrical (limited), including the materials, tools and procedures used in both rough and finish work).
- Competent working knowledge of the standard hand tools such as hammers, wrenches and screwdrivers, and power tools such as drills, impact drivers, saws and grinders.
- Performs mill and cabinet work.
- Lays and repairs flooring and roofing.
- Ability to do cement, plaster and masonry and tile work.
- Ability to prepare, paint and install protective coverings, using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, etc.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies cost effective measures in the utilization of materials and time.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- One year of experience in related field of work.
