Job Description

For our Global Services & Data Platform Division, we are looking for a seasoned Enterprise Solutions Architect who has mastered Cloud solutions architectures, patterns and various tech stacks who could:

  • Drive business and IT alignment to design and leverage reusable cloud architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT management to define and develop technology strategy, technology standards, capabilities, roadmaps, and practices.
  • Act as a technical lead/expert addressing requirements/problems relating to systems storage, compute, integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration with P/SaaS solutions using WAF principles and industry best practices.
  • Interact and consult with appropriate business analysts, project managers, infrastructure engineers and developers to understand application/project requirements and define architectural solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Work with the enterprise solutions stakeholders on Architecture Review and Approval processes.
  • Work with application delivery teams in the development of services, reusable patterns, components, standards, and frameworks required to support client business strategy.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, workflows and models using Visio, Draw.io, and other tools.
  • Evaluate technology solutions, services, and vendor offerings through RFP/Q/I & SOW process
  • Ensure that projects follow the prescribed development life cycle and meets quality standards.
  • Assist with analyzing and recommending software acquisitions and alternative solutions/methodologies/strategies and tools.
  • Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the automotive industry and make appropriate development recommendations.
  • Identify risks associated with architecture design, delivery, component, or application implementation.

What will this person be working on
The candidate will primarily work on Projects & Initiatives to deliver Enterprise Architecture Diagrams, Solution Architecture Documents, and Design Patterns for data platforms & product scope and requirements, delivering ARB deliverables and obtaining approvals from the Enterprise Architecture Review Board.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and business requirements into technical capabilities, manage expectations, and collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), cloud-native architecture, and cloud services related to data (e.g., serverless services, scalable compute & storage, data lakes, cloud databases, data warehouses, etc.).
  • Expertise in designing APIs and data integration platforms (ETL/ELT tools), microservices, data mesh, data fabric, and streaming, middleware to enable seamless data flow between systems while practicing data governance and security.
  • Experience in architecting & delivering transactional and analytical solutions including ML and AI solutions using waterfall and agile methodologies (preferably SAFe).
  • Excellent articulation, documentation, presentation, and communication skills exercised in preparing solution architecture diagrams, documents, and engaging enterprise architecture teams for reviews/approvals.

Qualifications/Experience Expectations:

  • BA/BS in information technology, computer science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 15 years of experience designing or configuring complex enterprise-grade cloud & big data systems and/or applications.
  • 10 years of relational and no-sql database architecture and design.
  • 5 years of graph database familiarity and solution design.
  • demonstrates a strong technical aptitude for multi‐tier and cross‐platform architectures across the enterprise
  • in‐depth knowledge of design requirements.
  • strong ability to define systems and integration models.
  • strong ability to act as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration.
  • strong understanding of the information technology landscape ‐ stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends.
  • strong understanding and working knowledge of software engineering, software development, solution architecture and implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms.
