TIG Welder

6:30am- 3:00pm
$25.00- 27.00/hour
A TIG Welder job involves using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) (GTAW) to precisely join various metals (aluminum & stainless primarily) by interpreting blueprints, setting up equipment (torches, gas), preparing materials, performing high-quality welds, and inspecting for structural soundness, all while adhering to strict safety and maintaining tools/workstations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and understand engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and welding symbols to determine requirements.
• Material Preparation:
Cut, clean, shape, and fit metal components before welding.
• Welding Execution:
Perform GTAW welding on various metals (stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) to create strong, precise, and visually appealing joints.
• Equipment Management:
Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot TIG welders, torches, regulators, and other tools.
• Quality Control:
Inspect completed welds for defects, ensure compliance with standards (AWS, ISO), and perform necessary repairs.
• Safety Compliance:
Wear appropriate PPE, follow all safety rules (OSHA), and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaboration:
Work with teams to meet deadlines and provide feedback for process improvement.

Key Requirements:
• Proven TIG welding skills and experience with various metals and 2 years of job experience minimum
• Knowledge of welding safety, codes, and procedures.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and mathematical skills.
• Certification (e.g., AWS) may be required.
