Job Title: OIT Nurse Educator
Reports: Director of Operations
Qualifications: Minimum requirement of successful completion of Medical Assisting
Program/School, National Certification is preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification.
Skills or Other Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, basic knowledge of computers, strong
interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
Job Summary:
The OIT Nurse Educator serves
as the leader and educator for the OIT team. They will implement an ongoing
training program to measure, assess and improve the quality of care, treatment
and services delivered to all patients. The OIT Nurse Educator will work
collaboratively with the Director of Operations and the OIT team at each office
to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care and patient experience.
Essential
Responsibilities:
· Responsible
for keeping up to date on oral immunotherapy (OIT) best practices and be the expert
resource for AAMG’s protocols and procedures.
· Point
of contact for training for the nurses, medical assistants and providers in regards
OIT.
· Participates
in skills summits to help proficiency of staff on OIT.
· Develop
and keep up to date with internal documents and resources for AAMG OIT program.
· Be
a resource and advocate for patients by reaching out when necessary and answering
questions and concerns.
· Manage
the patient referrals and waitlist spreadsheets.
· Revise
SOPs when needed based on the best practice changes.
· Prep
doses for patient and provide care to OIT patients on clinic days.
· Collaborate
with OIT team weekly and keep an open line of communication.
· Provide
updates on the program waitlist status when requested by managements and/or
partners.
· Required
travel to all (6) AAMG offices.

staff.
