We are seeking a friendly, reliable Cashier / Prep team member to join Las Chelaguas. This role combines customer service with food prep, ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for every guest.

Responsibilities
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system
Pour and serve drinks
Assist with daily food preparation as needed (prep work such as measuring ingredients, basic cooking helpers, assembling items)
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Close tasks at shift end, including cleaning and mopping floors
Ensure the dining area, kitchen, and equipment are clean and sanitized
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards; follow all health department guidelines
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a courteous manner
Restock and rotate inventory to prevent waste
Communicate any maintenance or safety concerns to management
Qualifications
Prior customer service or cashier experience preferred
Basic food prep or kitchen experience is a plus
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Basic math and cash handling skills
Flexible schedule; availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one
