About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled iOS Developer to join Walmart’s engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building and maintaining high-quality iOS applications using Swift and modern Apple frameworks. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift (Objective-C is a plus)
- Work with Xcode, iOS SDK, and Apple frameworks to build scalable and performant mobile applications
- Integrate iOS applications with RESTful APIs and backend services
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, stability, and usability
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver high-quality features
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure code quality through best practices, reviews, and testing
- Support deployment and post-release maintenance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience in iOS application development
- Strong proficiency in Swift (Objective-C knowledge is an added advantage)
- Hands-on experience with Xcode, iOS SDK, UIKit, and Apple frameworks
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and app integration
- Experience with app performance tuning, memory management, debugging, and optimization
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Sunnyvale, CA
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience working with Walmart or large-scale enterprise applications
- Experience building apps used by a large user base
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
- Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks
