A K-12 school in Merced, CA is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide essential therapy services for students across all grade levels. This contract position offers an opportunity to support student development and help maximize their educational potential throughout the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques in both individual and group settings
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy interventions
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and school policies related to special education services
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and credentials as required by the state of California
- Experience working with school-aged children in K-12 settings preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy best practices and educational impact
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to promoting student independence and success
Location and Duration:
This contract role is based in Merced, California, serving a local K-12 school district. The position is available for the current school year (CSY).
