Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage our client's department focused on single-plaintiff employment cases. This role is ideal for a senior employment attorney who combines strong legal expertise with leadership skills and operational oversight. You will lead a team of attorneys handling litigation and high-level settlement work in individual employment maters. This is a key leadership position with direct impact on case outcomes, team development, and firm growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of attorneys handling single-plaintiff employment litigation
• Oversee the full lifecycle of individual employment cases, from intake and case strategy through litigation
• Personally assess new maters, evaluate legal merit, and provide strategic guidance on case direction
• Supervise the preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal filings
• Oversee or directly engage in settlement discussions, mediations, and trial preparation when necessary
• Collaborate with legal support staff, operations, and other departments to ensure cases progress efficiently
• Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering strong legal skills and client service standards
• Monitor team performance, ensure quality control, and implement best practices across case management and litigation strategy
• Work closely with firm leadership to identify opportunities for departmental improvement and growth

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of employment law experience, with a strong focus on single-plaintiff litigation (plaintff-side strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including managing legal teams or practice groups
• Deep understanding of employment law claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage & hour disputes
• Proven success in litigation strategy, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations and client communication
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality legal work
• A proactive solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on results and team performance
