Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide occupational therapy services to students aged 3-22 with mild to severe multiple disabilities in a K-12 school setting. This full-time, school-year contract position involves itinerant work across multiple school sites within the district. The role requires administering assessments such as the BOT-3 and Peabody, as well as developing individualized intervention plans based on data analysis to support student needs and address parent concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct standardized assessments including BOT-3 and Peabody for students with diverse disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Travel to and provide services at multiple school sites within the district (up to 7 locations weekly)
- Manage a dynamic caseload with no set maximum, addressing ongoing assessment, consultation, and intervention needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other stakeholders to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize data to inform therapy recommendations
- Work independently without onsite OT colleagues, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- School-based or extensive clinical experience working with pediatric populations exhibiting multiple disabilities
- Proficiency in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments
- Ability to manage multiple sites and flexible scheduling according to district requirements
- Strong data analysis skills to communicate therapy outcomes and support service recommendations
Location: Irvine, CA within a K-12 school district
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
