Job Title: Lathe Prototype Machinist
PAY: $35-$50
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC 5-Axis Lathe Programmer with expertise in live tooling and prototype manufacturing. You will be responsible for operating, setting up, and programming Hyundai WIA CNC 5-Axis lathes, primarily for aerospace or rocket manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and program Hyundai WIA CNC 5-Axis lathes.
- Utilize experience with Fanuc controls and prototype manufacturing.
- Apply strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Handle sub-spindle live tooling and work with materials such as Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Select and adjust tools, offsets, and feeds/speeds to optimize machine performance and part accuracy.
- Perform quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Work in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Inconel, and Titanium
- Previous experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment is a plus
- Ability to pass a GD&T Test

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67.20 - $84.00/hr.
