Metro Refrigeration is a full-service maintenance and repair company headquartered in San Diego, CA. We offer complete refrigeration and HVAC equipment repair, maintenance, and installation services for full-service restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, retailers, coffee shops and concession operations.


Our employees earn top hourly wages (based on experience and knowledge) in addition to receiving a company phone, van and company provided uniforms. This position requires service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.


Responsibilities

• Properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment
• Provide the highest level of service to the customer and professionally communicate the service needed to customers and management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Legibly document and maintain accurate records for services performed on behalf of the customer.
• Consult with management to get needed parts ordered.
• Communicate with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnosing problems with equipment.
• Install parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
• Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School graduate/GED or the equivalent
• Three years of experience as a refrigeration/HVAC equipment technician
• Must be EPA certified.
• CEFESA certification is a plus.
• Additional experience in gas, electric, and/or steam repairs is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Own industry’s standard hand tools.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Must be motivated, a self-starter and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work on rotational on call as needed.
