Pay: $25-$35/hour
Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a steel-related manufacturing facility in Sacramento. This is a long-term opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a solid background in steel fabrication equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and have hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance on production machinery including CNC robotic machines, hydraulic presses, shears, and welders
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Replace faulty components such as bearings, belts, gears, and hydraulic cylinders
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime
• Support equipment upgrades and modifications
• Maintain accurate service logs and inventory records
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to management
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of recent maintenance mechanic experience required
• Must have experience working in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Basic welding and machining knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
