Pharmacy Technician (Sterile Compounding) - Stockton, CA
Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift
Department: Pharmacy Operations
Practice Setting: Sterile / IV Compounding Pharmacy
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to prepare sterile compounded medications in a cleanroom environment in compliance with USP <797> standards. This role involves producing large-volume sterile batches while maintaining strict aseptic technique, quality, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare sterile compounded medications per approved formulas, batch records, and logs

Compound large-volume batches (up to 250 vials per run) accurately and efficiently

Follow proper aseptic technique and gowning procedures at all times

Operate compounding equipment (repeater pumps, filtration systems, mixing devices)

Ensure compliance with USP <797> and state/federal regulations

Perform and document cleaning, disinfection, and environmental monitoring

Label, package, and document finished products for pharmacist verification

Maintain accurate records of lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities

Report deviations, errors, or contamination events promptly

Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to meet daily production goals
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (pharmacy technician training preferred)

Active pharmacy technician license/registration

1+ year sterile compounding experience preferred

USP <797> Category 3 experience a plus

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
