Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, precision measuring instruments, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production while maintaining strict quality standards.

Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines.
- Set up and operate CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are used.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating and modifying designs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in production processes.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to machining processes or tooling.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programming changes, setups, and production runs.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating machinery.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages specific to Fanuc controls.
- Strong knowledge of CAM programming software.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles and machining techniques.
- Experience with tooling selection and setup for various manufacturing applications.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and other critical parameters.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
