Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy services at a prominent health system facility. This opportunity offers experienced pharmacists and PGY1 residency graduates the chance to contribute to a dynamic hospital setting known for its extensive ambulatory and inpatient care services. The role is initially offered on a contract basis with the potential for transition into a full-time, permanent position within the health system.
Location: Long Beach, CA
Job Type: Contract (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility to work primarily first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be required
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication use and patient outes
- Participate in medication reviews, dosing adjustments, and patient counseling
- Maintain pliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Successfully plete a petency exam to demonstrate knowledge and readiness for the role
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- PharmD degree with current pharmacist licensure
- PGY1 residency preferred, but all qualified candidates with approximately 2 years of current inpatient experience will be considered
- Ability to work varied shifts with flexibility
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
- mitment to passing a petency exam and undergoing background checks (Livescan)
