Job Description
- Manage litigation cases, including document control and calendaring docket deadlines
- Prepare and organize legal documents such as forms, charts, reports, and correspondence
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing trial documents and exhibits
- Prepare pre-trial pleadings and support filing readiness
- Prepare for depositions and assist attorneys with deposition materials
- Prepare for hearings and coordinate supporting documents
- Request and organize records, including maintaining clear record logs
- Maintain team and court calendars and keep attorneys aware of scheduled events and approaching deadlines
- Schedule meetings and conference calls and support coordination across stakeholders
- Communicate professionally with insurance carriers, insureds, clients, and vendors via phone and email
- Maintain electronic and paper files with strong organization and version control
- Support other team members and timekeepers as needed
Qualifications
- 1+ year of paralegal or legal secretarial experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Demonstrated initiative, self-direction, and professionalism with clients and carriers
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelors degree preferred (not required)
