Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Awesome Phlebotomy and IV Skills

Providing excellent care is our top priority at Young Naturopathic Center for Wellness (YNCW). Our clinic, founded in 2004, is a fast-paced, full-service Naturopathic medical practice. We offer a wide range of services including weight loss programs, hormone replacement therapy, IV therapy, aesthetics such as PRP and micro-needling, hair restoration, exosome therapy, anti-aging therapy, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).

Our team is looking for an LVN to work primarily in our IV therapy clinic, assist with our peptide programs, VO2 Max testing and our hair program, as well as assist our Naturopathic Doctors during procedures. Our LVNs are responsible for independently performing IV therapy, blood draws, blood processing, injections, and assisting with procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing supply stock, and ensuring a positive patient experience. We are looking for a "can-do" team player with a great attitude.

Candidates will be cross-trained on front office procedures and the hyperbaric chambers to cover and/or support the front office and HBOT team as needed. This role requires exceptional verbal and customer service skills, an ability to multitask, an ability to "sell" services, ruthless time management, and a willingness to represent our practice in the best light.

Tasks and Responsibilities

General Skills:

  • Technologically savvy with computer systems and applications
  • Proficiency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure for professional correspondence

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to get along with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional way
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. (carrying boxes and reaching/stocking shelves)
  • Positive "Can Do" attitude and passion for the job

Phlebotomy & Medical Support:

  • Perform blood draws, intramuscular injections, and IV therapy
  • Make care calls to all patients who have had their first IV therapy and note in EHR
  • Prepare labels and tubes for upcoming blood draws
  • Prepare all injectable and IV Therapy bags
  • Perform Weight, Body Fat Analysis, and Blood Pressure measurements
  • Assist/Perform with Shiftwave, Emsella, and VO2 Max services
  • Assist in PRP procedures

IV Therapy:

  • Perform IVs
  • Ensure that the IV therapy office is clean and presentable
  • Ensure that all chairs are sterilized and wiped down between procedures
  • Notify practice manager if any stock becomes low and request ordering through EHR Task Manager
  • Document time and date that bottles of medication and/or supplies are opened; dates of opening must be logged on bottle
  • Ensure patients check in and check out at the front desk
  • Notify practice manager if there is an opening in your schedule
  • Assist in scheduling patient appointments and purchasing services
  • Actively check that all IV patients have follow-up visits with our doctors
