Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support preschool students across multiple sites and provide vital home-based services. This full-time, full school year contract position involves working with preschool-aged children in both educational and home environments.

Location: Clovis, CA (K-12 School Setting)
Job Duration: Current School Year (CSY)
Position Type: Contract, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct SLPA services across 5-6 preschool sites in the mornings
  • Conduct afternoon home visits to support 7 homebound preschool children, adapting to flexible scheduling with families
  • Facilitate speech and language evaluations and assist with Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Collaborate closely with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapeutic strategies and document progress
  • Maintain compliance with educational and regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Ability to manage itinerant caseload and travel between multiple sites
  • Comfort and flexibility in conducting home-based services, especially for homebound students
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable to effectively communicate with families
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

Additional Details:

  • Mileage reimbursement provided for commuting between sites upon candidate agreement
  • Supervision by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist for guidance and support
