Summary:
We are representing a general contractor actively hiring a Project Engineer for commercial construction projects across California and Arizona. This is a strong opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of experience to grow their career in a collaborative, development-focused environment. While commercial experience is preferred, prior work on healthcare, DSA, or education projects is a plus.
Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination

Draft and manage RFIs, submittals, and change events including tracking cost/schedule impacts

Review drawings, assist with permitting, and maintain as-built documentation

Perform quantity take-offs and support cost estimation efforts

Communicate with clients, architects, consultants, and internal departments

Organize and update project logs, including punch lists and document revisions

Attend and document meetings, prepare minutes, and track action items

Help manage monthly billings, bid packages, and project schedules

Notify project team and subcontractors of changes in construction timelines

Follow company file procedures and support closeout documentation collection
Requirements:

3–5 years of experience in the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and project documents

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural)

Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites

U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:

Commercial project experience

Prior experience with healthcare, DSA, or school construction

EIT certification

Spanish or multilingual skills
