Manufacturing Manager
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee the production processes within our manufacturing facility, ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This role is critical for maintaining high-quality production while optimizing resource utilization and implementing continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the manufacturing team to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality regulations such as AS9100.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and complex assemblies.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage supply chain operations and inventory control to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for staff.
- Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field, preferred not required.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing management role.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, precision machining, and complex assemblies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as AS9100.
- Experience with CNC machining and understanding of machine capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
