Key Responsibilities
- Deliver routine and specialized radiation therapy treatments following physician-developed plans.
- Operate and maintain plex radiation therapy equipment, documenting readings and coordinating necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Educate patients on procedures to reduce fear and promote cooperation.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and support patient assessment and monitoring.
- Ensure pliance with all regulatory standards to maintain privacy and safety.
- Perform clerical duties including managing patient appointments and electronic health records.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with departmental organization.
- Implement safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
- Mentor students and new staff, fostering a professional and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications and Certifications
- Valid BLS certification.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification.
- Certified Radiation Therapist (CRT) credential.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
- Strong munication and patient interaction skills.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
