Job Summary:
A growing manufacturing operation is seeking a qualified Equipment Maintenance Technician to support ongoing operations and engineering activities. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity focused on preventative maintenance, unplanned troubleshooting, machine upgrades, and support of process equipment across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Support unplanned maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
- Assist in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs and upgrades
- Help implement and track preventative maintenance schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Support implementation of operator-led maintenance initiatives
- Identify and escalate opportunities for process or equipment improvement
- Perform additional related tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and automation systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
- Basic computer proficiency (email, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and in teams
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and twisting for extended periods
- Comfortable working near industrial machinery and in warehouse environments
- Tolerance to variable temperatures and humidity levels
- Use of hand and power tools requiring forceful gripping
- Capability to sit or use a computer for extended durations
- Ability to hear alarms, machine noise, and spoken instructions clearly
Compensation:
$25–30/hour (Based on experience)
