SUMMARY
The Quality Control Technician will support the equipment department with complex tasks and perform basic testing and inspection of all incoming products to ensure acceptability and functionality of approved goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Inspection of incoming goods, checking material, dimensions, threads, next assembly fit, and any other attributes of an item compared to a specification. Log every inspection on the QC list.
- Measure physical attributes of an item e.g. dimensions, weight, thickness and compare it against a specification. This responsibility involves the use of a digital weighing scale, caliper, ruler and any other tools needed to measure relevant data.
- Compatibility tests on all pumps.
- Writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Identify, segregate, label, and document any non-conforming material.
- Communicate quality concerns and patterns to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all quality, production, and relevant documentation are completed accurately and stored securely.
- Participate in continuous improvement process.
- General QC housekeeping to ensure that the area is clean, tidy and orderly.
- Understand and comply with safety laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum (2) year experience in Quality.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICS AND LANGUAGE SKILLS
Solid mathematics skills up to and including simple algebra. Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint and Sequel database.
