Job Description
Job Description
At Glacier, we are taking on one of the world’s most pressing problems: trash. Did you know that in the US, we send over half of our recyclables to the landfill? We're hoping to fix that. In doing so, we’ll also be reducing carbon emissions, energy consumption, and depletion of natural resources.
Glacier builds custom sorting robots designed to sort apart recyclables as well as AI-powered business analytics that enable recyclers to superpower their plants and improve our society’s circularity. These two products together are helping to divert tons of recyclables (literally!) from landfills every day.
About us:
-
Our founders come from Facebook engineering and Bain consulting.

We’re backed by top-tier VCs with extensive technical and industry expertise.

Provide regular status updates to the internal team on deployment milestones, blockers, and adjustments.
-
-
Technical Execution
-
Perform hands-on robot assembly, field checks, and system adjustments during installations.
-
Ensure robots are built to spec, tested, and fully operational before handoff.
-
Manage packing and transport of tools, hardware, and equipment required for installs.
-
Support in-house builds when not traveling by following build documentation, tightening assemblies, running tests (including software-focused tests), and validating quality.
-
-
Customer & Stakeholder Management
-
Serve as the main on-site contact for customers during deployments, providing timeline updates, addressing challenges, and building trust.
-
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and customer success to resolve issues and align on priorities.
-
Proactively identify inefficiencies or risks during installs and recommend improvements.
-
-
Adaptability & Problem Solving
-
Make on-the-spot decisions when issues arise in the field, balancing customer needs, team capacity, and technical requirements.
-
Ensure installs remain on track despite shifting conditions or unexpected challenges.
-
What You Bring:
-
Experience coordinating or leading technical builds, installs, or field deployments.
-
Familiar with mechanical / electrical assembly, tools, and following build documentation.
-
Ability to plan, organize, and manage work across a team under time-sensitive conditions.
-
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety.
-
Comfortable interfacing with external customers and internal cross-functional partners.
-
Willing to travel frequently (up to 75%, domestic and international).
-
A proactive, adaptable approach to solving problems in the field.
-
Excited about contributing to a mission-driven startup tackling waste and sustainability.
Why Join Us?
-
Mission-Driven Work – Be part of a company dedicated to sustainability and ending waste.
-
Hands-On Impact – Play a key role in deploying Glacier’s robots and directly shaping customer success.
-
Fast-Paced Growth – Grow with a startup scaling its fleet and operations across the globe.
Compensation:
The total cash compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. In addition to cash compensation, Glacier also offers competitive equity compensation and benefits. The final compensation for this role will depend on many individualized factors, including job-related skills and knowledge, experience level, interview performance, and other factors. If you’re excited about leading technical installs, coordinating teams, and ensuring our robots are deployed flawlessly, we’d love to hear from you!
