We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated personal care assistant to support an individual who uses an electric wheelchair with daily living activities and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with physical transfers and committed to maintaining the individual’s independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Physical Transfers: Assist with safe transfers from electric wheelchair to toilet and back, and from electric wheelchair to bed and back.
- Personal Hygiene: Assist with showering, grooming, and other hygiene-related tasks.
- Household Tasks: Support with light household duties such as doing laundry and taking out the trash.
- Community Outings: Accompany the individual on short outings to nearby stores and local activities.
- Companionship: Engage in enjoyable activities such as listening to music or watching movies.
- Monitoring & Support: Provide attentive and respectful care, observing any changes in health or behavior and reporting concerns as needed.
Requirements:Requirements:
- Negative TB test within the last two years
- Two (2) valid forms of identification
- Live Scan background check clearance
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
