We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Manufacturing Technical Project Manager to own manufacturing operations at our client. You will oversee our contract manufacturer and work closely with our Engineering team to ensure quality and efficiency from product development through order fulfillment. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring technical specifications are met, and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Primary Duties

  • Oversee and coordinate all activities for all Internal and Contract Manufacturing product lines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain to define project scopes and objectives.

  • Own manufacturing throughput, yield, supply chain and lead resolution of production-related issues.

  • Manage the Assembly process at our CM and help to ensure they have the proper equipment, gauges, fixtures, testers, instructions and tools to support the production builds.

  • Define and lead manufacturing tests

  • Manage the product BOM's and coordinate all product changes to the CM and suppliers using an Engineering Change Order process.

  • Supervise the release of ECO and firmware updates on finished products, and ensure that inventory is updated with the latest Firmware before shipping to customers.

  • Own Design for Manufacturing reviews as part of the new product development process.

  • Oversee the RMA process by debugging and/or reworking customer returns as needed.

  • Oversee the Shipping/Receiving of finished product and demo kits to customers.

  • Track project progress, manage change, and resolve issues or bottlenecks.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners as needed.

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

  • Periodic travel to Plano, TX HQ

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in project management.

  • Proven track record of end-to-end technical program management of devices that shipped to customers.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality assurance

  • Extensive knowledge of SMT, ICT/FCT/Box Build Tests and DFM

  • Familiar with Linux and CLI interfaces.

  • Project management experience, PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus. Proficiency with Jira.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
