Company Description
The Geller Firm, Inc. is a busy California family law firm handling complex divorce, custody, support, property division, and domestic violence matters. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high-volume caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft family law pleadings, declarations, motions, and supporting documents
- Prepare and manage Judicial Council forms (FL-100, FL-120, FL-142, FL-150, FL-300, FL-320, FL-180, etc.)
- Assist with discovery, including drafting, organizing, and responding to requests
- Calendar court deadlines, hearings, and filings in compliance with California rules
- Coordinate e-filings and service through InfoTrack, and/or similar platforms
- Organize and maintain electronic case files, exhibits, and client records
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts
- Assist with mediation preparation, settlement documents, and trial preparation
Technology & Software Skills
- Clio (case management, calendaring, task management, document storage, drafting)
- Adobe Acrobat (PDF creation, Bates stamping, redactions, combining and bookmarking exhibits)
- Dropbox (file management, sharing, and collaboration)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Google Workspace (email, calendar, and video conference)
- InfoTrack (E-filing platform)
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate required
- 3+ years of California family law paralegal experience
- Proficiency with Judicial Council family law forms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple matters with minimal supervision
