Aaction Rents is looking for a hands-on Yard Attendant with strong mechanical aptitude to support daily store operations and keep our rental equipment safe, clean, and ready to rent. This is a store-based yard position with a strong emphasis on equipment knowledge and basic mechanical skills.

What You’ll Do
- Load and unload rental equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform “ready to rent” procedures: cleaning, fueling, inspections, and basic adjustments
- Prep new equipment for rental and used equipment for resale
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine servicing at the store level
- Identify mechanical or safety issues and communicate them to the store team
- Demonstrate safe and proper operation of rental equipment to customers
- Keep the yard and equipment areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with parts identification, organization, and occasional pickups
- Support the store team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools
- Interest in equipment, engines, hydraulics, or mechanical systems
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in equipment rental, yard operations, automotive, or mechanical work
- Familiarity with lawn & garden, construction, or heavy-duty equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25–80 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing
