Job DescriptionThe Engineering Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for “Building Engineer”.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance tasks including HVAC troubleshooting, painting, and restroom repairs
- Monitor and service fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and eye wash stations
- Assist in developing operational processes for a new client account
- Work independently and coordinate with vendors for technical tasks
- Support site safety by adhering to cleanroom and PPE protocols
- Utilize CMMS systems and basic office software for tracking work orders and communication
- Collaborate with the broader CBRE and client team to ensure seamless facility operations
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in building engineering, facility maintenance, or a similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school preferred)
- Ability to work independently with strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency in iOS systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
- Comfortable working in high-paced, industrial settings
Preferred Certifications:
- Universal Refrigeration License (highly preferred)
- Lift Systems Certification
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Journeyman training (certification not required but preferred)
- Additional trade or technical certifications are a plus
Additional Information:
- Location: Fairfield, CA
- Assignment Duration: 4 months with possible conversion
- Pay range: $35-$40/hr. on W2
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
