PrideStaff is currently seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator Helper / Roll Doctor for a plastics manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with opportunity for growth! Please see the job requirements below to be considered.
- Pay rate: $19.60 to $20.60
- Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Essential Duties:
Responsible for helping the Machine Operators Roll Doctor
- Pack plastic bags in boxes after performing and logging visual inspection
- Assist Operators as needed in setting up a line
- Use Forklift to move pallets and materials to and from
- Operate a Roll doctor. This machine gets a big roll of plastic placed on it, then the operator pushes the control button to allow the roll to spin. Once the roll is respun, the operator removes the roll from the machine.
- Wrap pallets.
- Other general duties as assigned
- Unload the Press machine of plastic rolls, using a Dalmec robotic (DALMEC experience is required)
Essential Duties:
- Must have recent experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Must Read and Write English; Spanish is a plus
- Previous Experience in Print and Plastics a MUST
- Must have at least 6 months of related machine tending or operation experience.
- Must be able to lift, stand, walk, lift, and pull throughout the shift.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Client requires a resume and an interview. The client also requires 2 positive work references.
It is most helpful to have
- Display good attendance – be present and punctual
- Know a little of mechanics (mechanically inclined)
- Operate industrial machinery safely
- Differentiate colors
- Use a measuring tape
- Read a work order
